Simplicity

My dad made the statement the other day that Jesus made life so simple when He said, “seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.” I couldn’t agree more. In a country where people spend around 60 Billion dollars on materials the day after thanksgiving Christians need to be reminded that there is more to life than “stuff.” The suicide rate has also steadily increased since the economic decline showing people’s dependence on things for happiness. It’s sad.

Jesus also made life simple when He summed up the whole law; Love God with all of you, and love others how you love yourself. Pretty simple isn’t it?

Salvation is also simple: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

As Paul said, “and having food and raiment let us therewith be content.” We are complete in Christ. Salvation is enough to fulfill us now and for all eternity if we only decide to live it out every day.

  1. Micah, we pray God will Bless as you serve Him with all your heart mind & soul! What ever you do,
And All that you do, do it as unto The Lord. We rejoice in your new adventures & pray we will hear
About many coming to The Lord as a result of your love & obedience to God. We love you always.
    Grandma Self, Prov.3:5-6
